The Diabetes Media Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit media organization devoted to informing, educating, and generating community around, living a healthy life with diabetes.
Diabetes Media Foundation was founded and is run by two patient advocates who live with diabetes.
The Diabetes Media Foundation (DMF) communicates with, inspires and advocates for the community of people touched by diabetes, using a variety of media forms. Our goal is to reach, support and inform people with diabetes from all walks of life and demonstrate that people with diabetes can live a long, active, full and healthy life. As its primary activity, DMF publishes ASweetLife (ASL), an international online magazine devoted to high-quality diabetes journalism, which features essays and articles on a broad spectrum of subjects including: nutrition; science and technology; medical information; recipes; and personal stories. As patient experts, we believe knowledge, community and support are essential pillars to living well with diabetes.
